Mount Fishtail

Not many people stop in Marlborough but if you're up for another hard and rewarding climb this is worth stopping for. The track winds through forest, over a river then straight up through the trees to a big scree slope. There's a small hut at the top however it doesn't have a fire an dis only 4 bunks. The track to summit isn't clearly marked so be careful choosing your route to the summit. After the scree slope it's a lot clearer. Views reach from Nelson and right around to Wellington and Mount Tapi.
